Anyone who came in person to the newspaper's counters to submit a 'Speurder' classified advert costing at least a guilder, published between 28 June and 4 July that year, received an Opekta preserving package free of charge. These packages had been made available by the Nederlandsche Opekta Mij. The advertisement announcing this had Arc's company's logo in the margin.[4]

\r\n\r\nArc's was eind jaren twintig van de vorige eeuw opgericht. Juist doordat het bedrijfsleven in die jaren grote problemen had, kon het bureau goed gedijen: adverteerders waren sneller geneigd een nieuwe aanpak te kiezen.[3]
\r\n\r\nIn de zomer van 1936 combineerde Opekta een reclamecampagne met een actie van De Telegraaf. Wie persoonlijk aan de loketten van de krant een 'Speurder' ter waarde van minstens een gulden kwam opgeven, verschenen tussen 28 juni en 4 juli van dat jaar, kreeg gratis een Opekta-inmaakpakket. Deze pakketten waren door de Nederlandsche Opekta Mij. beschikbaar gesteld. De advertentie die dit aankondigde, had in de marge het beeldmerk van de firma Arc's.[4]
