    "description": "<p>The <em>Haagsche Post</em> was a weekly opinion magazine read in the Secret Annex. The magazine, founded in <strong>1914</strong>, was edited by the Jewish Samuel Frederik van Oss. This was the reason the paper came under German control during the occupation.<sup data-footnote-id=\"2ryey\"><a href=\"#footnote-1\" id=\"footnote-marker-1-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[1]</a></sup></p>\r\n\r\n<p>In <strong>1933</strong>, the <em>Haagsche Post </em>was declared a banned magazine in Germany.<sup data-footnote-id=\"alj9c\"><a href=\"#footnote-2\" id=\"footnote-marker-2-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[2]</a></sup> On <strong>29 January 1944</strong>, the <em>Haagsche </em>Post published an article entitled &#39;Will the invasion also come to the Netherlands?&#39;. This article was accompanied by a map depicting the effects inundation would have on the Netherlands.
