Toonder entitled '<em>De Zandhoeve</em>' ('The Sand Farmstead'), (photo) reports on German military successes, lame jokes and a comic strip, 'Sjors'.<sup data-footnote-id=\"r3rw8\"><a href=\"#footnote-1\" id=\"footnote-marker-1-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[1]</a></sup></p>\r\n\r\n<p>Anne writes in her diary on <strong>26 October 1942 </strong>:<em> 'Mr. Kugler again brought 12 Panoramas, now we have something to read again</em>.'<sup data-footnote-id=\"c9ev3\"><a href=\"#footnote-2\" id=\"footnote-marker-2-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[2]</a></sup></p>\r\n\r\n<p>From the <em>Panorama </em>of <strong>18 June 1942, </strong>she cut a picture of Henk Rotgans and pasted it on one of the walls of her room. Only some remnants of that photo remain.
