Razzia on Merwedeplein

On 11 June 1941, a razzia took place on Merwedeplein and in other parts of Amsterdam South.

This was a reprisal for attacks on buildings used by the Wehrmacht. 310 men, including friends and neighbors of the Frank family, were arrested and deported to Mauthausen via Camp Schoorl on 26 June 1941.[1]
