Daily life

Daily life is everyday life, 'ordinary' life.

Daily life is everyday life, 'ordinary' life. Used here mainly to refer to things that took place or had an effect among civilians, both in public life and at home. During the German occupation, daily life went on as usual. The image of constant suffering was mainly shaped by the Hunger Winter. Yet daily life became increasingly difficult because of rationing and increasing repression. With the Arbeitseinsatz, many Dutch men were deported to Nazi Germany.
