Victor Emmanuel III of Italy

Victor Emanuel III was the King of Italy.

Victor Emanuel III (1869-1947) was the King of Italy from 1900 to 1946.[1] In the evening of 25 July 1943 ‘King-Emperor’ Victor Emanuel[2] announced the resignation of Mussolini.[3] He had the designation 'Emperor' owing to his claim to emperorship of Ethiopia’. However, the British government did not recognise this claim.[4]
