Grace Feige

Grace Feige lived next door to the Frank family in Frankfurt am Main.

Grace Feige was born in Hamburg on 24 September 1924 and probably moved to Frankfurt am Main with her parents in 1932. There she lived at Ganghoferstraße 22.[1] This house formed a semi-detached house with number 24, where the Frank family had moved in March 1931.

The families became friends and there are a number of photos known from 1932 showing Grace playing in the garden with Margot and Anne.[2] In an undated letter from Edith Frank-Holländer to her former neighbour Gertrud Naumann on Marbachweg, she writes that Mrs Feige will come to visit with Grace.[3]

On 25 March 1933, the Frank family moved to Dantestraße 4, where Otto's mother was living at the time, before fleeing to the Netherlands later that year. It is not known whether Grace and her parents kept in touch with them thereafter. On 25 February 1935, the family moved to Schmidtstraße 26.[4]

Source personal data.[4] Addresses: Hamburg, Ganghoferstraße 22, Frankfurt am Main (1932),[1] Schmidstraße 26 (1935).[4]
