Sarah Levie - Salm
Sarah Levie-Salm was the grandmother of Hello Silberberg, a friend of Anne Frank.
Sarah Levie-Salm was the grandmother of Hello Silberberg,[1] who was a friend of Anne Frank. She married Joël Levie on 26 July 1901 in Arnhem.[2] Levie was born a Dutchman, but moved with his parents to Germany at a very young age. He had himself naturalised as a German in 1921. After Hitler's rise to power, he returned to the Netherlands and during the occupation he and his wife had to go into hiding. In 1949, he became a Dutch citizen again.[3]
