Israël Carvalho
Israël Carvalho was a teacher of German at the Jewish Lyceum.
Israël Carvalho also taught German to class 1L2, Anne's class.[1] He advertised his services in October 1941 as a German teacher 'for all exams'.[2] At a staff meeting in the spring of 1943, Carvalho was reported Carvalho as one of the teachers absent "due to circumstances." Possibly, he went into hinding.[3] He survived the war, but his wife was murdered in Sobibor in July 1943.[4]
