Karl-Wilhelm von Schlieben
Karl-Wilhelm von Schlieben was a German general.
Von Schlieben (1894-1964) had his first war experiences in the First World War.[1] In 1943 he fought with his regiment on the Eastern Front. He became commander of the Cherbourg fortress, and surrendered to the Allies on 26 June 1944.[2]
