Emilie (Emma) Kugler was a seamstress in Hohenelbe. She was the daughter of Wilhelmina Erben and Anton Kugler, an Unterbrauer (literally under-brewer) who worked in a beer brewery. She was unmarried when her son Victor was born on 6 June 1900. She married Franz Klose around 1909 and had two more sons and two daughters with him between 1910 and 1920.[1]
