    "content": "<p>Ignatz Pfeffer, father of Fritz Pfeffer,<sup data-footnote-id=\"h0gw5\"><a href=\"#footnote-1\" id=\"footnote-marker-1-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[1]</a></sup>&nbsp;was a textile and clothing merchant. In <strong>1883 </strong>he married Jeanette Hirsch. The marriage resulted in one daughter and five sons: Minna <strong>(1884)</strong>, Julius <strong>(1885)</strong>, Emil <strong>(1887)</strong>, Fritz <strong>(1889)</strong>, Ernst <strong>(1892)</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;Hans <strong>(1894)</strong>.<sup data-footnote-id=\"m9njq\"><a href=\"#footnote-2\" id=\"footnote-marker-2-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[2]</a></sup> Jeanette&nbsp;died on <strong>27 December 1925</strong>.<sup data-footnote-id=\"xx26j\"><a href=\"#footnote-3\" id=\"footnote-marker-3-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[3]</a></sup></p>\r\n\r\n<p>On<strong> 5 August 1927</strong>, the widow Anna Kugelmann (1882-1944) moved in with him. In the summer of <strong>1933</strong>, both of them went to Wiesbaden and returned to Giessen in December. Until the summer of <strong>1942 </strong>they lived on Marktplatz, but then they were forced to move. On <strong>9 September 1942</strong>, they married. One week later they were taken to Darmstadt with other Jews.
