Fritz Pfeffer was the strokeman.<sup data-footnote-id=\"b0jt0\"><a href=\"#footnote-1\" id=\"footnote-marker-1-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[1]</a></sup> According to Bernd Lindenthal, Pfeffer was a member of the Jewish rowing club 'Undine'.<sup data-footnote-id=\"qbrtx\"><a href=\"#footnote-2\" id=\"footnote-marker-2-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[2]</a></sup> There is also a photo of Pfeffer in rowing clothes at a boat in Seddinwall. It shows him holding his son Werner on his arm. The photo is dated <strong>15 May 1932</strong>, Pentecost.<sup data-footnote-id=\"ancxw\"><a href=\"#footnote-3\" id=\"footnote-marker-3-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[3]</a></sup> There is also an undated photo of Pfeffer with four others in a rowing boat, Pfeffer sitting in third place.<sup data-footnote-id=\"fd2g9\"><a href=\"#footnote-4\" id=\"footnote-marker-4-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[4]</a></sup></p>\r\n\r\n<h1><strong>Horses</strong></h1>\r\n\r\n<p>There is an undated photo of Pfeffer on horseback.<sup data-footnote-id=\"6wtxw\"><a href=\"#footnote-5\" id=\"footnote-marker-5-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[5]</a></sup> By his own admission, Pfeffer had been involved in horse care on a daily basis since <strong>1919</strong>.
