Leisure activities, Bep Voskuijl

Bep loved dancing, classical music and films.

Anne Frank's diary reveals that Bep loved dancing, classical music and movies.[1] Bep's children confirmed this, adding: sewing, knitting, embroidering cushions and gardening.[2] According to her daughter Anne, Bep could also cook delicious meals.[3] Her husband Cor van Wijk stated that Bep loved music and loved going to the Concertgebouw. He also said she loved reading and was interested in geography.[4] In a letter, Bep thanked Larissa Akselrod for the beautiful records she had received from her: 'besonders das Klavier Konzerto von Tsaikowski, meine lieblings Musik und die Russische Sängerin Alla Solenkova hat mein Herz gestolen'.[5]
