"content": "<p>Doris Goldschmidt was the daughter of Max Goldschmidt and Margaretha Goldschmidt-Röttgen and a cousin of Peter van Pels. In Wuppertal, she attended the <em>Volksschule</em> in Trooststrasse/Schlieperstrasse, but had to leave in <strong>1934</strong>.<sup data-footnote-id=\"og88m\"><a href=\"#footnote-1\" id=\"footnote-marker-1-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[1]</a></sup> In <strong>1938</strong> she came to Amsterdam with her parents and brother, where part of her family already lived.<sup data-footnote-id=\"1oyl5\"><a href=\"#footnote-2\" id=\"footnote-marker-2-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[2]</a></sup></p>\r\n\r\n<p>An SD officer from the <em>Zentralstelle für Judische Auswanderung</em> arrested her around two o'clock on the afternoon of <strong>31 August 1943</strong> as a 'Jew in hiding' on the Stadionweg and took her to the police station on that street.
