"content": "<p>Hermann and Auguste van Pels did not always live in Osnabrück. Not all of the German addresses of the Van Pelses are known. Sources have been found for the following addresses:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Herzog-Friedrich-Straße 49, Kiel: Van Pels moved there on <strong>12 March 1917</strong>. His previous residence was in Osnabrück.<sup data-footnote-id=\"sng6j\"><a href=\"#footnote-1\" id=\"footnote-marker-1-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[1]</a></sup></li>\r\n\t<li>Exerzierplatz, Kiel:<strong> </strong>The number and date of arrival are not known. Van Pels reported his departure for Hamburg on <strong>1 September 1917</strong>.<sup data-footnote-id=\"sng6j\"><a href=\"#footnote-1\" id=\"footnote-marker-1-2\" rel=\"footnote\">[1]</a></sup></li>\r\n\t<li>Königstrasse 11-13, Hamburg: He lived here in <strong>1920</strong>.<sup data-footnote-id=\"eb0qb\"><a href=\"#footnote-2\" id=\"footnote-marker-2-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[2]</a></sup></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>At the time of her marriage to Hermann on <strong>5 December 1925,</strong> Auguste Röttgen lived in Wuppertal-Elberfeld at the address Vereinstrasse 14.<sup data-footnote-id=\"u30kr\"><a href=\"#footnote-3\" id=\"footnote-marker-3-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[3]</a></sup> After her marriage she presumably moved to Osnabrück. Hermann then lived at Georgstrasse 6, Osnabrück.<em> </em>This was the home of Aron van Pels, the father Hermann van Pels.<sup data-footnote-id=\"e8mbg\"><a href=\"#footnote-4\" id=\"footnote-marker-4-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[4]</a></sup> Whether they moved in with Hermann's parents after their marriage is not known. Together with Auguste and their son Peter van Pels, born in <strong>1926</strong>, Hermann was registered at the address Martinistrasse 67a in Osnabrück from <strong>6 September 1930</strong> to <strong>26 June 1937</strong><sup data-footnote-id=\"1sfw3\"><a href=\"#footnote-5\" id=\"footnote-marker-5-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[5]</a></sup>.
