However, some information can be gleaned from various sources.<em> </em><br />\r\n<br />\r\nKugler's birthplace Hohenelbe is located in the Czech Republic. The area where it is located was part of Austria-Hungary until <strong>1918</strong>. Its current name is Vrchlabí.<sup data-footnote-id=\"e8288\"><a href=\"#footnote-1\" id=\"footnote-marker-1-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[1]</a></sup> The birthplace had the address Hohenelbe 119.<sup data-footnote-id=\"bsc81\"><a href=\"#footnote-2\" id=\"footnote-marker-2-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[2]</a></sup><br />\r\n<br />\r\nAround <strong>1909-1910,</strong> Emilie Kugler, Victor's mother, married Franz Klose. The couple moved to the surroundings of Duisburg. The exact date is not known, but their first child Rudolf was born on <strong>18 December 1910</strong> in Duisburg-Hamborn.<sup data-footnote-id=\"c43d2\"><a href=\"#footnote-3\" id=\"footnote-marker-3-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[3]</a></sup> Victor Kugler's school reports confirm this move. "content": "<p>In the school year <strong>1911-1912</strong> Victor Kugler started at the Rektoratschule Norbertinum in Hamborn (Duisburg). This school was founded in <strong>1894 </strong>and named Norbertinum in <strong>1903</strong>. In the meantime, the school has been absorbed into the Leibniz-Gymnasium.<br />\r\n<br />\r\nThe subjects were: religion, German, Latin, mathematics, physics, history, geography, writing, drawing and singing. His progress was satisfactory. In the first trimester he was absent with '<em>entschuldigung</em>' for fifteen days. Stepfather Franz Klose signed the report as seen.<sup data-footnote-id=\"mtgbw\"><a href=\"#footnote-1\" id=\"footnote-marker-1-1\" rel=\"footnote\">[1]</a></sup><br />\r\n<br />\r\nIn the second quarter, he missed three days '<em>mit entschuldigung</em>'.
